Every person must brush their teeth at least twice a day, once in the morning and once in the night before going to bed.

Use the proper brushing technique

Merely brushing your teeth is not enough. Instead, use proper brushing techniques to clean your teeth properly. Use short back and forth strokes of your brush across the top and sides of your teeth. Then, hold the brush vertically and apply some short strokes on the front and back of your teeth where most of the plaque build up.

Do flossing

Flossing is another technique to clean the teeth that very few people practice. Flossing involves using a special thread to clean the area between the teeth where most of the food particles are stuck. Flossing helps you clear the food particles and debris that your toothbrush cannot clean.

There are some areas of the teeth where the toothbrush and floss cannot reach. The bacterial hides in these areas and causes decaying of teeth. A mouthwash can easily reach every area of your mouth and kill the decay-causing bacteria. You can also use mouthwash to rinse your mouth after means when it is not possible to brush. The tea and coffee may stimulate your nerves and reduce the tension, but they are bad for your dental health. The acids and sugar in these beverages are bad for your teeth and can harm the enamel significantly.  Moreover, drinking tea or coffee also forms a yellow layer on your teeth that become permanent if not cleaned immediately. People who consume more tea have pale teeth as compared to those who don’t.

Use a fluoride toothpaste

When it comes to choosing a toothpaste most people look for the flavor and teeth whitening qualities. Whatever flavor or brand you choose it must contain fluoride. The fluoride offers the best defense against the decay-causing bacterial, and it also maintains a protection barrier for your teeth.

If you don’t know any dentist, you can search for them online. If I search online, I would get a list of at least 15 dentists near me. Visiting your dentist regularly enables you to detect the tooth problems in their early stage and treat them before they become severe.

Eat fruits and vegetables

Eating raw fruits and vegetables provides the teeth al the essential vitamins and minerals that are required to keep them healthy and strong. However, you should avoid eating acidic fruits like oranges and other citric fruits. Even if you like them, you must rinse your mouth thoroughly after eating the fruits to clean the acid from your teeth.

It is the kids who don’t know much about dental care. They are taught about dental care in the school, but they are careless. Parents need to teach their kids about good dental habits like proper brushing, flossing and ensure that they follow them regularly.
